2007 was an exciting year for my family and I.
In June we made an extensive cross Canada trip, followed promptly by a 4 week venture to Oxford, England. I've gathered plenty of material and am excited to be painting/creating back at home once again.
This winter my husband, son and I experienced our first California Christmas - it was very different and completely enjoyable.
The longer I live in this area, the more I see Southern California sneaking into my work.

October 2007
This past weekend I attended the Pasadena Art Expo sponsored by Blick and The Artist Magazine. Once there I chose to participate in the 'Top Artist' competition (think Top Chef meets American Idol). I am happy to report that I took first place!
If you were in attendance you would have seen my finger painting technique in action.
In addition to wonderful prizes I got some great advice and words of encouragement from the professional judges, and have been inspired to start dabbling in acrylics once again. Best wishes to all, I'm off to paint.
